Rockefeller Hires Advisor From Blackrock

Rockefeller & Co, the New York-based wealth management firm, has hired G Patrick Fox as a senior investment advisor, effective immediately. Mr Fox will be based at the firm's headquarters and report to Elizabeth Munson, managing director.

In his new position, Mr Fox will work with clients to design customised investment programmes consistent with each client's risk/reward profile, objectives and tax status.

He also will determine appropriate asset allocation and portfolio construction; and advise on concentrated stock positions, low-cost basis holdings and potential portfolio diversification strategies.

Previously, Mr Fox served as an account manager for BlackRock, where he was most recently responsible for managing the firm's relationships with private banks. Prior to that he was responsible for new business development and client service for high net worth individuals and families.

Prior to joining BlackRock, he served across a range of client service roles for 13 years at JP Morgan, including as a client portfolio manager at JP Morgan Asset Management and as a portfolio manager at JP Morgan Private Bank.

Headquartered in New York and with offices in Boston, Washington and Wilmington, Delaware, Rockefeller & Co provides wealth and investment management services to a client base of high net worth individuals, families, trusts, foundations and endowments.              

As of 31 December 2008, the firm and its subsidiaries had approximately $25 billion in assets under administration.
